Jewelry Studio Tour Video

I finally create a new jewelry studio tour video.

Now that I’m home more than I’m away, I’ve made some huge improvements to my jewelry studio, getting it better organized and cleaned up and adding a whole classroom area. And, in an effort to attract jewelry making students and other silversmiths to share this space with me, I’ve created a brand new Studio Tour video.

This isn’t my first studio tour video. The original video, published in April 2020, showed only half of this 12 x 24 foot space — and that’s because the other half was an absolute wreck. I also shot and published another studio tour video that shows my mobile jewelry studio, which was set up in a trailer that I took south with me one winter. Although it worked out very well, I realized that I just didn’t want to drag all that stuff around with me every year so I disassembled it.

If you click the links to the other two videos, you’ll find them on a ML Jewelry Designs YouTube channel. I set up the channel with high hopes of sharing how-to videos on it. This was back when I was still making helicopter videos for the Flying M Air YouTube channel. I got seriously burned out doing those videos and dreaded the mere thought of trying to build a new channel for monetization. Since then, I’ve forgotten all of my login info and can’t access it anymore! That’s why this video is on my personal channel.

My personal channel, by the way, has become as eclectic as my blog. So many topics! Why? Well, I’m interested in a lot of things. It’s difficult to build a channel when there isn’t any consistency in content, but I’m at the point where I just don’t care. I’ll share what I want; if people don’t like something, they can skip it or unsubscribe. My personal channel is for me more than anyone else.

Anyway, here’s the video. Let me know what you think!

    • Ha! If you only knew what it’s been like for the past few years!

I have a serious problem with clutter and always have. I recently figured out why: I leave things lying around when those things don’t have their own “home.” After all, how can you put things away when there is no designated place to put them? So I’ve been fighting clutter with organization and creating places for things. It has done wonders for my home and my state of mind. I can really get things done in this workspace now!

I still have a lot of stuff and I still have a lot of clutter, but little by little I’m working through it. My garage will be this summer’s big project.

What do you think?
